Eduplanet supplies qualified, professional interpreters able to meet the needs of any type of interpreting, such as:
Simultaneous translation in the booth
Used at congresses and conferences, and involves using a system with a soundproof booth and infra red receiver with headphones. Simultaneous interpreting means contemporarily translation of a speaker so that the content of the message is immediately heard in real time. Interpreters work in pairs, changing over every 20/30 minutes.
We can also provide all the relevant equipment on request: soundproof booth, infra-red system and technical assistance.
Used in the same contexts and situations as simultaneous interpreting but the interpreter sits or stands next to the speaker and explains the concepts to the audience during pauses. Compared to simultaneous interpreting, it has the advantage of cutting out the costs of equipment, but it means translation times are longer.
Chucotage is where the interpreter whispers a translation of the speaker’s speech into the ear of the person in real time. This technique is less expensive since no equipment is required and there is a more direct contact between the interpreter and the client. This is a technique that can only really be used for one or a maximum of two clients.
The interpreter translates orally, making sure that two or more interlocutors can dialogue, interpreting from one language to the other. The translator uses both languages to make sure that the users of each are able to communicate and to interact. It is used in informal situations, mainly for business meetings of a technical or commercial nature.
Our costs can vary according to the type of interpretation chosen and on the field of expertise requested.
